Datenschutzerklärung / Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data is collected when you use Old Flash Games (hereafter "we", "us"), why it is collected, and the rights you have. The data controller is myprohost.eu. You can reach us at info@myprohost.eu.
1. Data collected on this site
- Server log files. When you visit the site, your browser sends technical information that we log: IP address, browser and operating system, the page you came from, and the date/time of the request. These logs are used only to operate and secure the site and are not used to identify you personally.
- Form data. If you contact us (e.g. via the contact page or email), we process the data you provide (such as your email address) solely to handle your request.
- Play data. Playing a game does not require an account. We do not store your name or any personal profile unless you voluntarily provide one.
- Play tracking (anonymous). When you open a game we record which game you played and when, using a random, anonymous identifier stored in a first-party cookie (
ofg_visitor). This identifier is generated on your device, contains no personal data, and is used only to show you a "Your Recent Games" row and to compute which games are popular. It is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal data. - Analytics (Matomo). We use Matomo to understand how the site is used in aggregate. The Matomo tracker is hosted on
mystats.at(a third-party analytics host), so analytics requests leave this server. Matomo sets its own cookies and may process your IP address (truncated) for statistical purposes. Matomo only loads after you give consent (see below).
2. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process personal data on the following bases:
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in operating the website securely and maintaining its technical functionality (server logs, basic operation).
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — to respond to your direct requests (contact data).
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — where you give consent, for example to the use of advertising cookies (see below).
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This website uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
- When you visit the site, Google may set and read cookies (including via
pagead2.googlesyndication.com) to serve ads relevant to you and to measure ad performance. - Google may process your IP address and use it for location-based advertising, and may share data with its partners as described in Google's own privacy policy.
- Google's use of advertising cookies is based on your consent. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie-consent banner on this site, or by disabling cookies in your browser. You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising via Google Ads Settings.
Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Flash playback (Ruffle)
Flash games are played in your browser using Ruffle, an open-source Flash emulator loaded from unpkg.com (a content delivery network). Ruffle runs entirely in your browser and does not send your personal data to us. The CDN may log standard technical request data (such as IP address) for its own operation, as described in its provider's privacy policy.
5. Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — to remember your cookie-consent choice so we do not ask again.
- Play tracking —
ofg_visitor, a first-party cookie holding a random anonymous ID so we can show your recent games and compute popularity. It is set as soon as you open a game and contains no personal data. - Analytics — set by Matomo, only after you give consent.
- Advertising — set by Google AdSense, only after you give consent.
You can view, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
- rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16),
- erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17),
- restrict processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20), and
- object to processing (Art. 21).
You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@myprohost.eu.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Server log entries are deleted after a limited period.
8. Complaints
If you believe our processing of your data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, for example the authority in your state of residence.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
